  1. Take a bowl and add 1 bowl rava/ suji.


  2. Add 1 cup buttermilk and ½ cup curd. Add salt as per taste.


  3. Mix it well. Rest it for 1 or 2 hours.


  4. Take a bowl. Add finely chopped vegetables like tomatoes,onions, cabbages, carrot.


  5. Add salt as per taste. Mix it well. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice.


  6. Add ¼ cup water if needed.


  7. Add 1 tbsp red chili powder.


  8. Take a tawa and put oil. Put some batter and spread nicely.


  9. Put some chopped capsicum.


  10. Put some oil on sides of uttapam. Slightly press it. Cook both side.


  11. Ready to serve with tomato chutney and coconut chutney.


Recipe Notes

  • You can also make oats uttapam by replacing Rava with the same amount of oat flour. The rest of the recipe will be the same.
  • If you don’t want to use any vegetable toppings, then you can also make this uttapam plain without any toppings.
  • You can also add minced ginger and chopped curry leaves and cumin seeds to the batter.
